Our Vision and Mission

Who are we?

Our network consists of health professionals and advocates across North Carolina who are increasingly concerned about the impacts of climate change on health and health equity, and are committed to integrating this information into their work, clinical practice, and/or advocacy efforts.

  • CACHE envisions a future where all North Carolinians, especially those most at risk to environmental threats, can achieve health and wellbeing in the face of a changing climate.

  • We inspire and activate our network of health professionals and advocates to strengthen community resilience and reduce the health impacts of climate change across North Carolina.

We engage our network in climate-informed education, advocacy, and research with community based organizations, health systems, and policy makers.

We share resources and co-create pathways to a healthier, more equitable future for all.

We are the North Carolina chapter of the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health.

Climate change is “the greatest global health threat facing the world in the 21st century…also the greatest opportunity to redefine the social and environmental determinants of health”.
